Blini with Herbed Sour Cream and Salmon Roe

This is an all-time classic and you must try it, at least once, to understand the full potential of caviar. It is simple, fast and utterly amazing. Serve it as an appetizer or a snack. You can also choose other types of caviar as all blend in the most perfect way.

  • 1 set of recipe Buckwheat blinis

  • 2/3 cup sour cream

  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped mint

  • 2 ounces caviar of choice

  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped chives

Prepare the blinis. This traditional Russian pancake is made out of wheat and buckwheat flour and the recipes for them are easily found and readily available.

Use a medium bowl and stir up the sour cream, parsley, dill, and mint. They should blend in smoothly. Top each blini you prepared with 1 teaspoon of this creamy mixture. On top of that add a teaspoon of caviar.

This is the golden triangle, spread between the blini, sour cream and the caviar. At the end, add a pinch of chives and serve.
